Takadanobaba Eki

April 25, 2009

I went to takadanobaba station and met with the NGO of asm group to assist me in my job interview (caregiving/homehelper9 one of the Homes located there (sorry i forgot what the place was called LOL!).

This is my first time travelling alone, well not really, I’ve taken the densha (train) before but that was like 6 years ago and it was in the province, I also had norikaes but like I said it was a small train station and it wasnt much of a challenge, scary yes but not that challenging…haha….yesterday was diffrent cause it involved me riding a bus LOL. I havent taken the bus this whole time (in japan). The 1st pic is the bus schedule near the place I stay,  Shobosho no Mae (in front of the firestation). I took the 11:13am bus headed to Kashiwa Eki. Since it was my first time, I really had no idea how it works, i mean how to pay >,< I let the 2 ladies in first thinking I’ll have an idea; but damn they had bus passes (pre-paid bus cards), they just slipped their cards in the machine and sat. HUwaaaa, when it was my turn I suddenly panicked, a ticket came out of the machine and I dint know where to put my money nyahahahha…there wasnt any slots, all that was there, was a card scanner for suica users and other kinds of card…grrrr >,<. I really looked stupid trying to insert my coins into the car slot lolzzzzzzzzzzz..Good thing there was this lola who helped me out and told me that we pay when we get off the bus, She pointed the box located near the drivers side and told me todrop the money there.the 2 ladies infront of me also told me to get the ticket and pay later at the front, they were really kind. Now heres the really really irritating and embarassing part of that trip, There were 2 filipinos ( a man and a woman with her baby ) who were sitting there and just watched me while I make a fool of myself amp!grrr…They din even try to help or anything, jeezzz…so much for helping your own kind, its probably just an idea i was raised to believe in.

Anyway I made it to the right tracks, took joban line going to ueno and got off nippori eki  for my norikae (train transfer) then got up the escalator  took the last stairs to the left and took the yamanote line going to shinjuku and got off takadanobaba eki ^^, it was quite an experience, the place was so busy and full of people hurrying to their destinations, and it was like a city full of college kids, everywhere I looked were students in their puberty age hahahahhaha, majority of people I saw there were students attending universities nearby. Since it was still early I went to mcdonalds for lunch, and slowly ate my meal, hehe. I took a photo of a mall beside the eki,  Look, they really mean it literally, it looked like a box just fallen from the sky hahaha this really cracked me up =)) Takadanobaba eki is located at the right side. I had my timing wrong taking this pic, this place is literally swarmed with people when a train stops and you’d really be surprised, too bad I wasnt patient enough to wait for the next train to stop hahaha.

I met Suenaga San around 2:00pm and we were suppose to wait for another pinay but we waited for about 45mins but turns out she’s a no show. We headed to the home and It was a really quiet place, there were lolos and lolas everywhere, I dunno but my heart really sank seeing them there, i just cant imagine leaving my mom in one of those places and visit her whenever I had time, its just heartless. Well, I know its much more heartless leaving your parents alone specially when they come to an age where they cant take care of themselves but hey,I cant deny that I’m a filipina and eventhough I dread to be one i still love the part where family really matters; well  for me my mommy really matters (hahaha). The interview started, all the owner had to say is can I come everyday? he gave the 4 shifting times and showed it to me, all i had to say was, as long as there’s a train running I can come, after filling up a biodata in japanese, he told me that he’d call Mr. Suenaga after the holidays ( its golden week and everybody’s busy spending their holidays). After that we headed our own ways I wanted to stroll around for a while but having just 5000yen with me would just torture me so I started heading back home. Dudung dint really explain to me how to get back but as ready as I am always i looked it up the net last two days ago so I already had an idea, its just the same but backwards hahaha.

I dint have a hard time  with the trains at all, I found it fun minus the nausea I feel everytime I’m inside someting that moves. I found my way back to the bus station and I had my episode again grrr >,<…i dint notice that there were 2 bus stops there, 4 and 5, I started to panic again hahaha…I dint know what to take grrrr, anyway I had no choice but to ask the bus driver if they would pass shobushono mae and he pointed me to the right bus w/c was at bus stop 4. The 3rd pic is the sked for bus #4 I just had to take a photo; it would be usefull someday, hehehe.

I was so exhausted when I finally came home, I slept for a couple of hours and woke up with dudung’s call.  He asked me if they’d (employer) shoulder my transportation, from what I understood was they’d shoulder 1000yen of my transpo but I’ll shoulder the rest. And when he saw the sched shiftings he noticed that it was impossible to make it on time to the earliest shift. I’m afraid I have to turn this down and look for another one. This is sad, I really liked the place >,<.
